The Opportunity
BioSteel is looking for a National Accounts Manager, to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be managing all elements of customer relationships with BioSteel’s Large Store Retail Partners (LCL & Costco or Sobeys, Walmart, & Metro). The NAM will be the BioSteel subject matter expert on all elements of customer performance. This role will have Two (2) regional account managers reporting into them. You will enable the team to ‘raise the bar’ for field sales execution and oversee delivery against sales metrics of Revenue, Profit, Value Share, Distribution, and aligned annual KPIs. Through your leadership, the team will be engaged and motivated to deliver what is best for our customers and our brand. You will advocate internal stakeholders for what it takes to set your team up for success, set ambitious yet achievable goals, and use strong commercial acumen and resourcefulness to get the job done and lead by example. This role will report to the Director – National Accounts Canada Large Store.
Responsibilities
Negotiate annual joint business plan for total BioSteel portfolio across all categories of customer business.
Identify new distribution opportunities and build partnerships that maximize profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility, and service
Build appropriate programs, planograms, activity calendars and product features that benefit both BioSteel and the National or Regional account
Generate tools and ideas for improving national account customers' experience selling our product and services
Manage all aspects of account management and business development processes.
Work closely with the accounts direct warehouse management to identify and close distribution gaps.
Develop sales plan and strategy to increase business opportunities.
Owner of day-to-day account management. Achieve financial targets and profitability goals.
Maintain market awareness and knowledge of account activities and communicate competitive conditions and product trends continuously
Work closely with Trade Marketing / Marketing team to develop customized programs to drive sales at the customer level.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Small & Large Format retail required
Proven track record in achieving sales quotas and in-store condition KPI’s targets
Previous success in building and growing relationships with chain accounts (non-alc preferred)
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail
Capable of working in a highly dynamic team environment and welcomes collaboration
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Proven track record of working remotely and independently
Passion for health and wellness and/or sports
Desire to live a healthy lifestyle and represent the BioSteel brand out of the office
An ownership mentality and a willingness to embrace a high-growth culture focused on achieving significant growth milestones
Strong, direct communication skills and a willingness to speak up amongst colleagues across all levels of the Company
